The Heart Behind the Green Petal Project

What started as a trauma nurse with a passion for service and sustainability has blossomed into a movement.

Origin of the Creative Idea

IMG_8600.HEIC

At the heart of the Green Petal Project is a simple but powerful mission: to ensure that flowers used in events don’t end up in the trash but instead continue to bring lasting joy and beauty to as many people as possible.

We understand that joy and even healing comes through many different facets. Research shows that fresh flowers in the home can have a scientifically significant impact on mental health. By repurposing event flowers and redistributing them we aim to create a bridge between the end of an event and the continued joy these flowers can bring.

The Green Petal Project merges our passion for service with our love of flowers, spreading happiness and reducing waste, one bloom at a time.
